At Chimbro, we live for projects that test the limits of design, engineering, and good old-fashioned South African braai pride. Our latest custom build is one that has the whole workshop buzzing — a 2.4 meter built-in braai, crafted from solid 3 mm mild steel and packed with every feature that makes a true Chimbro masterpiece.

This isn’t your average backyard braai. This is a custom braai South Africa can be proud of — fitted with a double suspension roll-up system for smooth, effortless control, whether you’re slow-grilling steaks or firing up a serious feast.

To handle the heat, we’ve built in a 4.5 mm stainless steel 3CR12 coal tray, giving unbeatable durability and long-lasting performance. And because every detail matters, the entire interior will be lined with sleek black fire bricks — not just for protection and heat retention, but for that striking, modern finish that looks as good as it performs.

This project is still in progress, but we’re already proud of how it’s shaping up. The final installation is going to be one for the books — bold, elegant, and unmistakably Chimbro.
